Agastya Nanda steps into the spotlight with his highly anticipated big-screen debut in Sriram Raghavan's war epic Ikkis (2025). The young actor, grandson of Amitabh Bachchan and son of Shweta Bachchan Nanda, portrays Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, the real-life hero who, at just 21 years old, became the youngest recipient of India's highest wartime honor, the Param Vir Chakra, during the 1971 Indo-Pakistani War.
After making his acting debut in Zoya Akhtar's streaming film The Archies (2023), Agastya takes on a dramatically different and far more intense role here: a fearless tank commander who single-handedly holding off enemy forces in the brutal Battle of Basantar, knowing he may not survive. Sharing the screen with veteran icon Dharmendra (who plays his father) and powerhouse Jaideep Ahlawat, Agastya's performance has already generated massive buzz, with early footage praising his commanding presence, emotional depth, and physical transformation for the demanding military sequences.
Ikkis marks a bold and patriotic launchpad for the newest member of the Bachchan legacy, positioning Agastya Nanda as one of Bollywood's most promising newcomers to watch in 2025 and beyond.
