The Hanuman

The Hanuman Chalisa, a 40-verse hymn composed by Tulsidas, is the most recited prayer in India and is believed to grant protection, strength, and fearlessness. Hanuman is worshipped especially on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Millions of devotees regard him as an ever-living, ever-present guardian who instantly comes to the aid of anyone who calls his name with sincerity. In India, he is affectionately called "Hanumanji" and is revered as the perfect embodiment of bhakti (devotion) and shakti (power).
