Vishnu

Vishnu (Sanskrit: विष्णु, "The All-Pervading One") is one of the principal deities of Hinduism and the Supreme Being in Vaishnavism. He is the Preserver and protector of the universe within the Trimurti (alongside Brahma the creator and Shiva the destroyer). Vishnu maintains cosmic order (dharma) by incarnating on earth whenever evil and chaos threaten the world.
